I finally finished it yesterday & here it is.
The pattern in the top right corner is the one I tried to describe in the post Heraldic Inspiration.
It came from this:
I did this to it:

An example of how a pattern is born in my world.

A large part of the art of Zentangle is asking yourself, 'What next?' repeatedly during creation of your Tangles. One night in bed last week I decided to do an experiment with this notion. I started with a tiny circle in the middle of my blank square then asked 'What next?', made my next stroke which was simply to aura the circle with another one.I carried on in this fashion, Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11925291205171162074noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1590518982247600345.post-16115061328713507132013-03-06T22:26:00.003+00:002016-11-07T17:27:19.315+00:00AWOLSorry to have been AWOL for a few weeks, but that's the nature of this depressive illness lark, sometimes I'm wading through mud to achieve anything, other times there's no stopping me!

The String is really 2x 'z's at different angles, so a Tangle starting with Z seemed a good place to start. I used Zander as it lends itself to a continual line pattern (after a couple of little battles at corner turns!). I used contrasting colours to highlight the 2x Zs. When I'd done these I thought the spaces looked like Ennies shapes, so in they went!

It often occurs to me that in the pursuit of all things creative, you have to have more than a little faith in what the end result will look like! Or if you don't have the faith, at least the audacity to go with it & see where it leads!
Whenever I start a new project or customer order etc,, I always go through that apprehension of putting the first stroke on the paper.
